About This Voyage

“Every Ritz-Carlton hotel knows the address it occupies. Evrima knows something better: the sea itself.”

When The Ritz-Carlton launched Evrima in 2022, the hotel group's century of expertise was distilled into a vessel of 298 guests — a yacht, not a ship. The distinction matters. Evrima moves differently through the water. The ratio of space to guest is double that of most luxury cruise lines. The suite minimum is 35 square metres, with every suite having an exterior view and a private balcony. The restaurants — Mistral, Evrima Restaurant, Aqua — are staffed by chefs trained in the Ritz-Carlton culinary tradition. The butler assigned to your suite has worked in the hotel group and knows the brand's language of service.

The Phuket to Bali route crosses four of Southeast Asia's most significant bodies of water, calls at six countries and traverses one of the most culturally diverse regions in the world — from the Hindu temples of Bali, to the Muslim prayer towers of Penang, to the Chinese shophouses of George Town, to the futuristic botanic gardens of Singapore. Thirteen nights is exactly the right amount of time: long enough for the rhythm of life aboard to become genuinely pleasurable, short enough that disembarkation at Bali leaves you wanting more.

Departing February 2027. Available through Martins Travel with preferred suite category, private shore excursion arrangements and flyaway services.

The Complete Voyage

Each port of call has been chosen to reveal a different facet of the journey — arriving by sea as travellers once did, and departing enriched, never hurried.

“The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever.”

Day 1

Phuket, Thailand

Embarkation in the Andaman Sea

Evrima is berthed at Phuket's deep-water marina, the Andaman Sea visible beyond the harbour mouth in every direction. A private car from Phuket International Airport (30 minutes) delivers you directly to the gangway. The ship's butler receives you by name and leads you to your suite — which has been prepared according to the preferences submitted in advance: the pillow selection, the minibar curation, the scent of the room. A welcome evening at sea: the Evrima Restaurant, the chef's opening tasting menu, the first stars over the Andaman. Phuket recedes astern as the ship departs for Phang Nga Bay at sunset.

Day 2

Phang Nga Bay, Thailand

The Limestone Archipelago — James Bond's Sea

Phang Nga Bay is one of the most dramatic seascapes in Asia: limestone karsts rising vertically from teal water, mangrove channels threading between them, caves accessible only by longboat at low tide. Evrima anchors in the bay at dawn. The Ritz-Carlton's private longtail — arranged with the local boatman the evening before — takes your party into the bay's deepest channels at 7am, before the tour boats from Phuket arrive. Ko Panyee, the fishing village built entirely on stilts in the middle of the bay. Koh Tapu — James Bond Island — approached before the crowds. Back to Evrima by noon for lunch; the afternoon at the marina platform, swimming the bay's extraordinary water.

Day 3

Ko Yao Islands, Thailand

Island Life at Its Most Undisturbed

The Ko Yao archipelago sits between Phuket and Phang Nga Bay and has, by the resolve of its Muslim fishing community, resisted the development that transformed the islands around it. Ko Yao Yai and Ko Yao Noi are still, essentially, what they were twenty years ago: rubber plantation paths, stilted houses above the water, long beaches of grey sand, fishing boats at anchor. A morning walk through Ko Yao Noi village with a local guide. A private lunch at a family home — Thai-Malay cuisine, coconut rice, freshwater fish from the local river. An afternoon on the beach, entirely private, Evrima visible at anchor offshore.

Days 4–5

Penang, Malaysia

George Town — The Melting Pot of the Strait

George Town is the most culturally layered city in Southeast Asia: Chinese, Malay, Tamil Indian, British colonial, Peranakan, and Islamic traditions occupying the same 3 square kilometres of UNESCO-listed heritage zone. The shophouses alone — their painted facades, their five-footways, their guild emblems above the doors — could fill a day of walking. Day 4: a private guided walk of George Town's heritage precinct with an architectural historian from the Penang Heritage Trust. The Peranakan Mansion, the clan jetties of Weld Quay, the Khoo Kongsi clan temple. Lunch at a hawker centre that has been preparing char kway teow on the same wok for forty years. Day 5: Penang Hill by funicular railway; the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion (the Blue Mansion) by private tour; a private cooking class in a Peranakan kitchen.

Day 6

Kuala Lumpur (Klang), Malaysia

The Twin Towers — Asia's Most Dramatic Skyline

Evrima docks at Port Klang, the deep-water port serving Kuala Lumpur. A private car and guide make the 40-kilometre journey to the city centre in 45 minutes. The itinerary is tailored to what interests you: the Petronas Twin Towers and their sky bridge at 170 metres; the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, the finest in Southeast Asia; the Central Market for Batik and pewter; the suburb of Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur's Little India. A private lunch at the Mandarin Oriental before the car returns to the ship. Kuala Lumpur in the late afternoon light from the causeway.

Days 7–8

Singapore

The City-State — Four Days of Civilisation Distilled

Singapore is not a destination to be rushed and Evrima gives it two nights. Day 7 afternoon: arrival at the Marina Bay cruise terminal — the Supertrees of Gardens by the Bay immediately visible from the gangway. A private car to the heritage district of Chinatown, the rooftop bar at 1-Altitude, the Botanic Gardens in the late afternoon. Dinner at a private table at Odette, Singapore's three-Michelin-star restaurant — the finest tasting menu in Southeast Asia. Day 8: Sentosa Island by private car; the National Gallery for Southeast Asian art; the Raffles Hotel, fully restored, for the Singapore Sling that was invented here in 1915. Return to Evrima in the evening as the city-state illuminates itself in the Java Sea darkness.

Days 9–10

Bintan & Lombok, Indonesia

The Indonesian Archipelago Begins

Indonesia is 17,000 islands and Bintan is the first. Evrima anchors off the Riau archipelago — 45 minutes south of Singapore by sea, but a world apart. The north coast of Bintan is a beach resort zone; the Bintan interior is palm oil plantation and fishing village. Day 9: a private beach day on the north coast, with beach club facilities arranged through Evrima's shore team. Day 10: at sea and in transit to Lombok. The crossing of the Java Sea — blue and flat and marked by the distant islands of Sumatra and Kalimantan on the horizon. Arrival at Lombok in the afternoon: the Gili Islands at anchor, the volcanic cone of Rinjani above, the sea the colour of a swimming pool that someone has filled with the ocean.

Days 11–13

Bali, Indonesia

The Island of the Gods — A Finale Worth the Journey

Bali is the culmination of the voyage and, arguably, of a lifetime of travel aspirations. Evrima arrives in Benoa Bay on Day 11. Day 11: South Bali — Uluwatu Temple on the clifftop at sunset, the Kecak fire dance performed in the temple forecourt as the sun drops into the Indian Ocean. A private driver and guide for the day; dinner at Locavore, Ubud's celebrated farm-to-table restaurant. Day 12: the interior — Ubud, the rice terrace walks above Tegallalang, the Tirta Empul royal bathing temple, the Sacred Monkey Forest. A private spa treatment in a traditional Balinese compound in the afternoon. Day 13: the final morning aboard Evrima, anchored in Benoa Bay, the outline of Gunung Agung visible to the north. Disembarkation at Ngurah Rai International Airport, arranged at your preferred hour.

Andaman Sea, Malacca Strait & Java Sea

Evrima carries 298 guests in 149 suites — a ratio of space to passenger that rivals the world's finest yachts. Every suite has a private balcony. Three dining venues including Mistral, the ship's signature restaurant. A teak-decked marina platform opens onto the sea for water sports. The Ritz-Carlton's service language — the anticipatory, undemanding precision for which the brand is known — operates here exactly as it does ashore.

George Town, Penang

Penang, Malaysia

The UNESCO-listed heritage city of George Town is the most richly layered cultural destination in Southeast Asia — Chinese clan temples beside Indian mosques beside British colonial courts beside Peranakan mansions in a single street block. The private walking tour arranged by Evrima's shore team operates before the organised tours arrive from the mainland.

Bali — The Island of the Gods

Bali — The Island of the Gods

Bali, Indonesia

Bali's landscape of rice terraces, volcanic peaks, Hindu temples and surf-beaten cliffs is the most recognisable island image in the world. Three nights in Bali from Evrima's Benoa anchorage provide enough time to experience both the spiritual south — Uluwatu, Tanah Lot — and the cultural interior of Ubud, without the pressure of hotel checkout times.
